Do people really die of a broken heart?

First of all,I'm sorry for your loss but congratulate you on your compassion. I don't know if there have been any official studies,but I do know there have been many cases of an older couple when one dies and the partner goes shortly afterward. I'm not sure if there is any scientific explanation,but a broken heart seems plausible to me. I'm sure you don't want your grandmother to go too,but,maybe it's not up to our hopes and wishes. Be close to your grandmother as much as possible and let her go where her heart leads her.
